If you happen to be purchasing your content through the official Barnes and Noble Nook Book Store, then simply point your computer browser to their website, or access the book store via the Nook itself. Find ‘Nook Comics’ or ‘Nook Newstand’, find the publication you’d like to read, purchase and download.

The Nook Book Store at BarnesAndNoble.com offers a massive collection of comic books and graphic novels that any die hard comic fan is guaranteed to be blown away by. There are hundreds, if not thousands of comics to choose from, including Marvel and hundreds of various Manga titles.

If you thought the artwork in your regular old comic books was stunning, wait until you see the same artwork on the ultra vivid Nook Tablet 7 inch, touchscreen, LCD display. The colors really pop, and with simple gestures, it really feels like your flipping through a paper comic.

A single issue of a comic or novel will run anywhere between $6 and $15 on average. Expect to pay $2.50 per month for something like The Onion, which is published weekly. Or pay $14.99 per month for daily issues of something like The Wall Street Journal. Or you can opt to pay for each individually for about $1 each.

As in-print publications continue to decline in readership, you can expect to see more and more newspapers hop on the bandwagon, and start publishing their own papers in digital format for Nook and other eReaders.

Magazines for Nook

Magazines, like newspapers, are declining in in-print readership. You’ll also see these publications begin releasing digital editions as people begin to adopt blogs and websites as their primary source of news and entertainment.
