With the growth in popularity of ebooks and eReaders, publishers of all sorts of different print media have begun to publish more than just simple ebooks. Newspapers and magazine caught on relatively quickly and started issuing digital editions of their publications for eReaders like The Nook.
Comics books would come later, when color eReaders, like The Nook Color, Nook Tablet, and Amazon Kindle Fire hit the market. This is when eReaders really started to evolve, into something more like a tablet, and began including the ability to download and play TV, movies, and music.
